From the 6th of august till the 7th of september 2014 I spend my time working in Leipzig. Together with Willem Besselink, Pim Palsgraaf, Daan Botlek, Regina Kelaita and Bram Braam, I used an old empty factory building to make site specific works in order to present this during the ‘Tag für Industrie Kultur Leipzig’. Parallel to this presentation we had a small show at Post-Industriale as a teaser for our factory show as well.
‘Because it’s written’ is a show I’ve put together for the South Explorer Festival in Charlois at the Wolfart Projectspaces. The show presents works by eleven artists that use text in their visual art works on a regular basis.

In January I had the honor of hosting ‘De Derde Disdag’, a monthly talk show about the cultural activities in Rotterdam. This short documentary is made by Marieke van der Lippe and ‘De Derde Dinsdag’ is an initiative by a group of cultural institutes in Rotterdam.
Wake up in Art is an initiative that makes it possible for people to sleep in an artists studio during the period that the Art Rotterdam fair takes place.

Hotel Stardust, Paramaribo, Suriname
As a setup for the SPAN EXPO at the Surnaamsche Bank, I organized a party at the never used, open air bar at the Stardust Hotel, built in the 70’s. A forgotten place, next to the overgrown tennis court and basketball field, now used as a storage for everything that is not needed in the hotel anymore. Continue Reading →

‘I am the DJ’ is a short film made for the Volksrekorders project in Zagreb in 2007.
In 2007 I initiated the Volksrekorders project, together with nine other artists from the Netherlands. For this we made a pilot episode in Rotterdam. The video ‘Parking’ was my contribution to this first episode for the online platform www.volksrekorders.com
