“Kunst ist immer abhängig vom Raum, in dem sie gezeigt wird. Mit der Installation eines Werkes steht man vor der Herausforderung, die Gegebenheiten des Raumes zu nutzen und sich gleichzeitig dagegen zu behaupten. Ten Bosch hat diese beiden Notwendigkeiten zu einer Einheit verbunden und überlässt dem Betrachterauge die Entscheidung über die Gewichtung zwischen Kunst und Raum.” – Annika von Taube at Blitzkunst.wordpress.de

When the Mona Lisa was stolen from the Louvre in 1911, the museum received more visitors then ever before. The same thing happened when ‘The Scream’ was stolen from the National Gallery in Oslo in 1994. The people lined up in front of the empty space that the painting had left behind. Continue Reading →
These works are follow ups of two works from two works that I made in 2014. The works are made with material taken from Witte de With in Rotterdam during the building up of the show of AA Bronson.
I am pleased to present my first solo show at Galerie Gilla Lörcher in Berlin under the name Cool Calm Collected. The show presents works made during my first two years in Berlin.
The show is on display from March 19 – April 22 2016, Pohlstraße 73 , 10785 Berlin.

From the 6th of august till the 7th of september 2014 I spend my time working in Leipzig. Together with Willem Besselink, Pim Palsgraaf, Daan Botlek, Regina Kelaita and Bram Braam, I used an old empty factory building to make site specific works in order to present this during the ‘Tag für Industrie Kultur Leipzig’. Parallel to this presentation we had a small show at Post-Industriale as a teaser for our factory show as well.
Invited by the organisation of the Ampelhaus in Oranienbaum (Germany) I spent four weeks working at this unique location in the small village close to Dessau. This residency period ended with a participation with four of my works in the exhibition ‘Unter zwischen im Ampelhaus’, two new ones and two works that were created last year in Leipzig.
Four pieces of asbestos mounted directly on the wall. Together they make a ode to painters like Piet Mondriaan and Bart van der Leck, a sort of archeology in the collective art memory.
‘Out of the white cube (Remains/Stolen footage)’ is a series of work that came to existence during the ‘As paradise is half as nice’ project in Leipzig. The works are a follow up of previous works that I have made and have the same subtitle.
During the ‘Verborgen Tuinen 2013′ event, I created a closed hatch at the garden of a housing block in Charlois, Rotterdam. This hatch could be a way to pass to another space, basement, tunnel or whatever. But in the meantime it is also an exit from such a space to the garden. What it really is we will not know, because the hatch appears to be locked tight!
A solo show at Upominki Rotterdam resulted in ‘I don’t quit my daytime job’. The show presented the first works of the ‘Remains/Stolen Footage’-series. The title refers to the background of the materials used for the works which come from jobs I do to maintain my income.
