These works are follow ups of two works from two works that I made in 2014. The works are made with material taken from Witte de With in Rotterdam during the building up of the show of AA Bronson.
I am pleased to present my first solo show at Galerie Gilla Lörcher in Berlin under the name Cool Calm Collected. The show presents works made during my first two years in Berlin.
The show is on display from March 19 – April 22 2016, Pohlstraße 73 , 10785 Berlin.

On the 27th of september the one night show ‘Abstract in Black’ was at display at Kreuzberg Pavillon in Berlin. I was invited to curate this show by invitation of this small, but popular project space.
Invited by the organisation of the Ampelhaus in Oranienbaum (Germany) I spent four weeks working at this unique location in the small village close to Dessau. This residency period ended with a participation with four of my works in the exhibition ‘Unter zwischen im Ampelhaus’, two new ones and two works that were created last year in Leipzig.
Friday the 27th of june Gallery Frank Taal opened ‘Figure That’. In this group exhibition the gallery reflects on itself by showing all the artists they represent. During the Kunstweekend Charlois Jeroen Bosch curated an exhibition called ‘Half empty’. In an old officebuilding in the south of Rotterdam he brought together a group of artists that create work with a high level of abstractness in it. I was invited to be part of this show.
Ruïns was the first exhibition in the new projectspace Donau83 in Berlin. I was invited to make a show together with Aldo van den Broek and initiator Bram Braam. Three dutch artists in Berlin with an aesthetic connection in their work.
The project ‘If paradise is half as nice 2’ was presented in Berlin a week after the presentation in Leipzig. The location was the exhibition space of Atelierhof Kreuzberg, a completely different surrounding then the original location in Leipzig and therefor a totally other presentation, based on the same works.
‘Out of the white cube (Remains/Stolen footage)’ is a series of work that came to existence during the ‘As paradise is half as nice’ project in Leipzig. The works are a follow up of previous works that I have made and have the same subtitle.
From 6 till 10 february the Re:Rotterdam art fair took place. A fair for small galleries and individual artists. My personal booth showed the series of works under the name ‘Remains/Stolen footage’
A solo show at Upominki Rotterdam resulted in ‘I don’t quit my daytime job’. The show presented the first works of the ‘Remains/Stolen Footage’-series. The title refers to the background of the materials used for the works which come from jobs I do to maintain my income.
