If paradise is half as nice 2 @ atelierhof Kreuzberg Berlin

The project ‘If paradise is half as nice 2’ was presented in Berlin a week after the presentation in Leipzig. The location was the exhibition space of Atelierhof Kreuzberg, a completely different surrounding then the original location in Leipzig and therefor a totally other presentation, based on the same works.

Next to the works of Bram Braam, Pim Palsgraaf, Daan Botlek and Willem Besselink I showed the two works I made in Leipzig.

‘Out of the white cube’ is a new contribution to the series I started a while ago under the name Remains/Stolen footage. For this version I didn’t work with remains of the installation of works at a museum, but created my own material by painting a room white and keeping the floor clean with paper that is sold for this purpose. The results are cut-outs of this paper, framed and hung. For this show the work was accompanied by a photo of the original installation in Leipzig.

Asbestos I is a work made out of little pieces of asbestos that I found in the building in Leipzig where we were working. The pieces are put together in a frame in an esthetic way based roughly on compositions of Mondriaan.
